overpaid Russ Ortiz.. so Pav probably asked for more. I'm sure the Yankees had the cash but I would have only offered him 7.5 mill a year for 4 years with a 4 mill bonus.

good possibility....i imagine there would have been several teams after him with a 7.5 million price tag instead of 10 million....
