Well, apparantly when DET claimed Byron Gettis off waivers this past fall, they knew something other teams didnt. He is 2nd in the Peurto Rican league in BA hitting .395, 2nd in total hits, and 2nd in OBP - but he still has no power. He could make the roster this March.
Urbina has said he will be in ST, and he could even begin pitching in the Venezuelan league very soon.
Wilfredo Ledezma - who many concider a lock for the #5 SP spot - got tore up in his last two starts. Hopefully that isnt a sign of things to come,especially since he was so promising before this.
