I was just thinking...Pedro is a 33 year old guy who the Red Sox apparentely feel is almost out of gas...and let walk..
Hmmm....this sounds familiar....
Sounds like the reigning NL Cy Young Winner, Roger Clemens. Wasn't Roger around Pedro's age when the Sox let him walk? How many Cy Youngs does he have since then?
I know this is a very different situation, and Pedro's a very different pitcher, with a much different body, but I just thought this was interesting. Thoughts?

my thoughts: I don't think Pedro has much left. He'll win 0 more Cy Youngs

I think the Red Sox did the right thing in both cases. They're both pretty classless individuals.

This subject has been beaten to death...

He has won 4 Cy Youngs since leaving the Red Sox...2 with the Jays, 1 with the Yanks and 1 with the Astros.
I do not think Pedro is anything like CLemens either in physical makeup or type of pitcher.

Either do I but it is funny to think about...
Pedro wins 2 Cy Youngs with the Mets...
Mets trade him to the Yankees where he wins 2 World Series rings and wins another Cy...
