I would also strongly consider Manny Ramirez with one of those picks as well. IMO, I'd much rather start my team with two of those stud offensive players than a young, unproven SP.

Definitely agree. I'd go with two young bats unless Prior is there.

I am a firm suporter of avoiding pitchers in the first.........however........in a very large (18-20) team dynasty/keeper it might not be a bad idea. I think Hitters are overall more easily proven then pitchers, and you can't have a staff no ace. I just think sleeper hitters are much easier to find (just wait to take Crosby instead of Renteria) then pitching.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Yeah, since it is a keeper league, I would pick two good young players at a shallow position like SS and 2B. How about M.Tejada, M.Young, M.Giles, or A.Soriano, any one of these guys will be great keepers for years to come.

Manny...do not even think it is debateable if he is left on the board. Same for Abreu.

I think you have to go with two hitters, preferably those that add the most in all categories, and then take pitchers with the next two picks. I think it is much easier to mix and match with pitching than with hitting. You have to have a solid offense base first.

If Tejada is left I don't see how you can't take him...by far the best SS...Soriano would be tough to pass up...but then again so would Prior. Abreu is a pretty good pick as well, but he might fall to your next pick. I'd be suprised if Helton or Manny were there. Prior is probably the only pitcher I would consider at this point.
