Pedro Martinez has agreed to undergo an MRI as part of his physical for the Mets, a source told Newsday.
Assuming that the physical goes well, the Mets should announce Martinez's signing within the next couple of days. According to a Mets official, Martinez not only picked New York over Boston but also turned down a four-year proposal from the Cardinals.

$$$$$$$$$
