I get to keep in a 8 team keeper league cater. are avg, sb, runs, oba, hr, rbi, pitching are wins, saves, era, whip, ip, k's .......I would like too deal a player or two so I can recoup a pick or two.....who of this list has good trade value and then I can keep an extra player
santana, oliver perez, migual cabrera, victor martinez are in
then I have thome, hafner, pedro, peavy, carlos guillen, marcus giles, jd drew, carlos lee and jason bay........which 4 of this group do i keep and which two do I deal who have good value now but might not later...
I'd try and deal Pedro. That leaves you 3 outstanding pitchers. And as much as I loved him last year, I'm afraid Hafner's too big not to be on roids. I don't know what you'd get for him though. I think others are wary of Drew's injury history. Lee would get you something, but maybe leave you thin.
The four best are thome(hitter's park), guillen(position scarcity w/ good bats around him), giles(position scarcity) & peavy(K starter & N.L. pitcher).
You need to sell off hafner, pedro, jd drew, carlos lee and jason bay. I would take what you can get for these guys in draft picks. There's talent there but you need to sell it to someone.
I'd go with this list as well...although none of these 4 are untouchables if someone wants them in a trade.
I'd think that Giles has the most trade value as hes generally considered one of the best 2B...his trade value is probably higher than what his actual production would be, so see what you could get for him.
I'd go Thome, Peavy, Bay, Giles. You have to keep Thome and Peavy. Thome is almost a gaurenteed 40 homers while Peavy is young and is SO pitcher. I just like Bay because how good he looked in his rookie campaign, but this could easily be Lee. I like giles because of how scarce his position is.
