I am thinking about minor league and really don't follow college baseball or prospects. Can anyone offer up any ideas as to which of these guys may be good bets to beat a fast track to fantasy success at the MLB level?

well, this is the 2004 first round, so some of these guys may never make it out of A ball.
if you are asking fast track, I believe Street is widely viewed as potentially seeing MLB playing time this year. how much success is anyone's guess, but I believe the above prospects were viewed as highly polished, with most going to AA pretty quickly,

#11 Neil Walker

This guy is the real deal. His potential is for real and I expect him to be in the majors starting in 2006 and may see some time as a late season call-up in 2005.

The Pirates really are desperate for a Catcher and he fits their need.

He wont be ready for a while yet. If I had to guess, we may see him in 2006, but if he progresses on the usual curve he wont be a staple until at least 2007.
