T. Hudson 3-way...

Postby BumpWills » Mon Dec 13, 2004 4:04 pm

ESPN's Rumbling's and Grumbling's mentioned that Beane talked to a number of teams yesterday about Hudson, including Toronto. I can't see Toronto getting Hudson but they could easily be the missing leg in a infamous, Billy Beane three way. What about...

To Oak: E. Jackson and A. Perez
To LA: T. Hudson

A little later that same day…

To Oak: M. Bautista and O. Hudson
To Tor: A. Perez, J. Blanton and either E. Durazo or D. Johnson

Bautista'a been in rumours for a while as has Durazo. With Perez, Adams, Hill, Menachino and McDonald the Jays are covered in the middle infield. This gives the A's an established 2B,and an excellent defensive one at that. Bautista allows the A's to plug their rotation spot in case Jackson's not ready yet.

Just food for thought.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I don't see the dodgers giving up 2 SP for one...

A. Perez is the 2nd base prospect for the Dodgers I think. I think they would be giving up A. Perez and Edwin Jackson for Huddy. Sounds like a reasonable trade for both teams (though this is not a new rumor).

Edit: KPucks beat me to it.

???? Jackson is the only LA SP involved. As a Dodger fan, I love it.

Batista is available for the right offer but I'm pretty sure that it would take more than this pile of spare parts to get O. Hudson from the Jays.

I think I agree with you...I'd probably rather have Hudson than Perez, even given their ages. However, I must admit that I don't know anything about Perez and how good of a prospect he is....

Hasn't panned out? He should have won a gold glove this year. He is a brilliant defensive player who holds our infield together. All of his offensive stats were up (slightly) last year and he is improving in every facet of his game. He is a future All-star. You heard it, O-Dawg's going to be an all-star. :-]
