Rumor Just in: Pedro to the Mets

Postby trevisc » Mon Dec 13, 2004 2:53 pm

I just heard on MLB radio that the Red Sox are backing out of the bid for Pedro and it appears he's heading to the Mets

There is also a new rumor from the winter meetings that the Yankees/Dbacks trade talks are back on.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Pedro sucks, IMO. Well, not really, but he wont be nearly as good as his coming price-tag might indicate. As a yankees fan, I wouldnt mind it if Pedro stayed on the Red Sox. As long as he doesnt come to the Yankees, Im fine. I hate him.

Word is that the Mets guaranteed the 4th year. The total contract worth is $50M.

hes's still better than what they are gonna get to replace him. Who would you rather face: pedro or Matt Clement? serious question: does anyone know who is gonna replace him in the rotation?

There is a rumor that Glavine has waived his no-trade clause to be traded to Boston.
