That's what I've been hearing all off season so far. Except it was originally Glaus/Delgado/Sexson. I guess the two overrated 3B's are interchangeable though.
Despite reports that a deal with Seattle was done, Richie Sexson's agent said today that the Orioles remain in the running for his client.
It just hasn't been a good weekend for supposedly done deals. "Nothing is conclusive at this moment. We'll have to see where this thing goes the next 24, 48 hours," Close said. "It's all speculative as to what people's perspectives are."
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
according to the local paper and local radio, the m's are still looking into delgaldo and moving sexons to left???
I love sexson and think he will be great as an M. I am just not too sure about him in Left field. I think I would rather see the m's go a different route than Delgaldo at this point. But I must say, its about time a seattle offseason will be worthwhile.
and i needed someone to replace my edgar in the sig.
from what I hear around here (seattle) is that Sexson has to pass a physical tommorow or later this week and tis done. That being said, ESPN.com has something somewhere on there saying it isn't quite closed and that Sexson is still talking to a couple of other teams.
WHO KNOWS ANYMORE. seems to be the theme this weekend!
It sounds like a done deal, but the way things have gone for the M's over the last few years, it wouldn't surprise me to see 'em get screwed again.
...I'm not too worried, though - again, it sounds like a done deal. Plus, it's refreshing to read about the M's actually making an effort to spend some money for a change.

Ichiro Boone Beltre Sexson
nice...
yeah... I need to remember to sit near the plate so that I can get the nice breeze from the bats (not, ichiro's of course)...
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
