I personally think he is going to be great...I wish he were playing in a more favorable park or in a more favorable lineup, but I'm thinking of keeping him over some other pretty good established players.
What do you see as a projection for his numbers this year?
.290/85/25/100/20.......
seems close to me...with some of those numbers jumping in 2006

I agree with your assessments. I am projecting him at #11 for 3B this year, in what is turning out to be a really stacked position.

I agree, a little more power and a little less speed - .285-.290/25-30HR/15SB/80-90 R and RBI.

My projections have him at .287, 31 HR, 90 RBI (depends on where he hits and if we get a table-setter) 90 R, and 15 SB. Definitely a great 3B late pick.
I was hopping that bandwagon when premium seats were still available.
Since 3b is so loaded this year, I was planning to stock up elsewhere while the run is underway, then grab this guy at the end of the frenzy.
.288/27/90/18 seems reasonable; steals could be higher or lower depending on his batting spot and managerial philosophy ... he has the talent to get more. And watch out in '06.
wow, lots of love for Wright out there. i think he'll be great as well. in my eyes he's a top 10 3b already. if the speed holds true he's almost as good as any 3b out there.
Wait just a minute here. What does this have to do with the Red Sox or the Yankees? Nothing. Frankly, I don't think that we have room for non-Yankee or non-Red Sox topics here.
But since you started it, I think most of the cafe has been on this bandwagon a long time. I myself have been on it for about 2 years now. For next year, I'd expect Wright to be the 11th best 3b available - behind Arod, Beltre, Rolen, Mora, A-Ram, Blalock, MCab, Eric Chavez, Huff, and Larry Jones. Of course, if the Mets get any protection for him in the order, that could rise substantially.
Now back to your regularly scheduled Red Sox/Yankees talkfest.
