Has anyone heard if Boras is still going to hold that audition day for Magglio Ordonez to prove that he has fully recovered from his knee injury?

I heard somewhere yesterday that he was holding an audition. He seems to be the forgotten member of this year's FA class. Just a few years ago he was a 40-120-.300 threat.
I can see him landing with the Mets.

If healthy he would be a great addition over either Sosa or Alou to the Mets OF.

Amazinz wrote:There are conflicting reports. Several articles say it was cancelled and Boras is just releasing doctors' reports to the interested teams. If this is true it sends up huge warning flags. Another article stated that the official meeting was cancelled but Boras will have a public physical for Mags sometime this weekend. Not sure what to believe.
I've heard the sam about them being cancelled.

That's exactly what I was thinking, he seems a good bet to become a Met, especially if the Rangers are taking Delgado off the table. If Sexson goes to the M's, the Mets may really do something interesting.

Quote of the year -- funny to just think about the Mets and an interesting move.
