Figgins at 3rd now that Glaus is gone?

Do you think with Glaus gone this will make room for Figgins to be a 550+at bat guy?

I would like to see what he can do over a full season with some position stability

He may start the year there, but I imagine before too long MacPherson will probably get the nod for a while at least to see what he can do there since he's the one who made Glaus expendable. Just my $.02.

I agree. I've heard a lot of good stuff about McPherson. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't surprise me if he starts the season at 3d.

There are reports that the Finley to Anaheim deal is near completion.

"The Angels were thought to be major players for Carlos Beltran, but they were so close Thursday night on Steve Finley that it is expected to be announced Friday morning. "That is done," said one baseball official, who estimated the deal at between $16 million and $20 million.

Also the Angels are expected to sign Cabrera tommorow too which I am guessing does not bode well for Figgins.

They already said last year that McPhearson is their starting 3b heading into spring training. I don't agree with their choice to go after Finley when they could use the money on better pitching but that's just my 2 cents.

I agree. He is way to good to not be starting imo.

McPherson starts at 3B. Figgins might start the year at 2B depending on how Kennedy's recovery is going or CF depending on who the Angels sign.

He will find a spot. Think about it...if Anaheim's RF, CF, LF, 3B, SS, 2B, heck even 1B gets hurt, Figgins will have a job. If 1B gets hurt, MacPherson moves to first, Figgins plays 3rd. The odds are pretty good of him seeing regular time.
