I think the Sox so loved the results from the Yankees' Contreras that they want another one :-B

I would think (assuming they could sign him) that AZ would want to ensure Vaz came to them. They'd need pitching more than they need Konerko. But in light of the Glaus signing, I'm not sure AZ is even thinking right now :-/

Now that the D'Backs have Glaus along w/ Hillenbrand and Tracy I don't see why they want Konerko. Maybe Lee, though?

This trade doesn't make sense for any of the teams involved. Sometimes the best trades are those that are not made.

nope, im with you. vaz is young, talented, and to add insult to injury we'd lose more of the future. im guessing the prospects would be 2 of either navarrao, duncan, and cano. RJ is inticing but this team is not getting any younger. better off signing Pedro and giving him an offer he can refuse, skip Beltran

i think signing pedro would be even worse than getting rj. I absolutely hate pedro. I really wish steinbrenner would learn a lesson and realize the yankees only win when hey feature howngrown talent and dont try to buy a team. the only reason they had the recent dynasty ws they built the team while steinbrenner was suspended.
