It's Gammons so take it for what it's worth but he says this three-team trade is in the works:

DBacks: Garland, Konerko, 2 Yankees prospects
White Sox: Vazquez
Yankees: Unit

That looks like a dream sceneario for the Yanks, depending on the prospects. I hope Navarro isn't one of them, but he prob. is.

Did he mention if the Yankees have to pick up a huge chunk of Vasquez's salary?

That is a high price the ChiSox are paying for Vaz. Especially when he can demand a trade after this year.

HA! They go from needing Vazquez, $18M, 5 prospcts, and one of thsoe 10 SP's that included Hudson and Zito, and now all they want is Garland, Koinerko, and 2 Yankee prospects? Doens't make sense, and I doubt anything like this will happen.

Don't know any more specifics. I got this from an email from my bro (Yankees fan) who still lives on L.I. It's also reported on NYFansites.com.

I agree with Pogo on that one, and Jackal on the other. I'm not especially high on Garland, but with the departure of Maggs and Thomas possibly out for a while, they need offense, not more pitching. If they could somehow throw in a prospect or two instead of Konerko that would maybe be a little better, but then the D-Backs probably wouldn't go for it. The D-Backs have no idea what they want. First they want everything in the world, then they're going to settle for this? 8-o

I heard parts of the talk with Gammons and about this trade. Maybe the ChiSox will do this in thanks for us helping to get them Colon a few years back. ;-)

yea i had chicago pegged for some offense not more pitching.....
