I don't know much about Wright but if he pitches all year with the Yankees, there's no doubt his win total will be up. His ERA remains to be seen. Hopefully he can repeat last year's performance...

He's a product of Mazzone. He doubled his career IP/HR ratio from 8.1 to 17. His K/BB went from 1.37 to 2.27 - sounds like a fluke to me. Back to his usual ERA of about 5.
AJ, it's really optimistic to think he'll get more than 15 wins next year, he'll be lucky to stay in the rotation past the AS break IMO.

I agree that his ERA will probably be around 5.00. He might end up winning 12-14 games, but I don't think we will see the same pitcher we saw last year. I still have my doubts regarding his durability. I would expect 140-160 IP with maybe 120 K or so.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

Hell have great win potential, but his ERA will suck. I wont be drafting him. I am dissapointed as a Yankees Fan that we would br overpaying for him

Hes not worth that much money

At least you have him. As a Braves fan I would love for him to have resigned. It is a shame that Yankee fans are so spoiled that they take another teams best pitcher and cry about getting him.
You have to understand that it's the way we are. We have to deal with Curtis and the Sox so getting anything short of Carl Pavano is dissapointing. Especially when the first 5 moves of the offseason are for Stanton, Felix-Rod, Womack, Wright and Milton. We are used to and need to get guys like RJ if we are going to keep up with Boston.
