What are your guesses on what happens to Urbina? There was a rumor the White Sox were interested. The Cubs still need a closer.

Cubs look like a contender for his services, but they have no problem giving Dempster the job until he proves he can or can't handle it.
I think the Cubs will look for a leadoff guy now (Pods from Milwaukee has been mentioned a lot) that Walker/Nomar are in the fold before they look to add a closer.

Man..if the Cubs could sign Pods that would be awesome for them. I wouldn't like to see Patterson losing the SBs but with Pods getting 2 at a time Cory could still steal 2nd base

At 4.5 million being a setup man is a lot of money. But the Tigers may end up keeping him in that spot. Urbina was 21 for 24 in save chances but the Tigers middle relief blew 9 chances to get to Urbina in the 7th and 8th innings. They don't have anybody dependable to get to Percival. My guess is they keep Urbina unless they get an offer they can't refuse.

no he hasent.
This is a really touchy situation, and it may not have a happy ending. Uggey could be a head case coming into the season.
Detroit decided not to give in to arbitration with Yan and Levine recently, so they wont be in Detroit next yr. Franklin German has actually had a very good offseason in the Dominican league, and we are getting back two pitchers who had TJ surgery about a yr ago in Rodney and Sperling. Indications are that the FA market for middle relievers is getting costly, so the Tigers may very well end up keeping Urbina for a few more months. well see.
