He's not? Well if he's a Yankee fan, than the wise crack is even MORE understandable. This must be a horrible offseason for you guys. :-b

Hold on tight. It'll probably be 86 years until their next one. ;-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

He's a Jays fan.... don't you remember when the Jays traded for Preston's uncle in 1989? :-D

Great deal, the risk is high on the health but even is hes out for most of the season the penalty is under $1 mil and is worth the trouble. As much as I hate the sox I think Theo is soon going to be carrying the title "genious" in my book.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Hmmmm... interesting comeback there, Amazinz... which leads me to the question: Which franchise's current situation would I rather have?? The defending champion Red Sox.... OR the 4th place in NL East (20 games under .500) , laughing stock Mets, who's brand spankin' new GM (Omar) appears so far to be as clueless as his two predecessors (Duquette and Phillips). (By the way, do you Mets fans miss Kazmir, AND are the Mets STILL paying Mo Vaughn's $80 million contract?? :-P )

I think I'll pick Boston. Something tells me Vegas will have them as a slightly better bet to win the '05 series than your lovable New York Mutts. :-t

Have a great day. :-]

Then he gets a pass from me. I've always liked the Jays. What a buzzkill. B-)

And there's also teams that spend 100 mill and don't get out of the basement of the NL East. ;-)

The Sox have a budget, unlike their neighbors to the South, and he needs to find cheap replacements--hello, Bronson--if he's to overpay to keep Pedro and/or 'Tek.

I think it's rather quite clear they have a budget. They don't have Yes. I didn't say that they have a small budget. I just said that they do have one--it's right around 130 million. Remember, George owns the Yankees outright while the Sox owners paid 700 million. Just because the Sox spent a lot of money does not mean they do not have a budget. Logic is a good thing.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.
