Cream vs. CSNY (Cream 11-7)

Postby Mookie4ever » Wed Dec 08, 2004 11:33 am

Cream

Eric Clapton left the Yardbirds and made the best music of his career with Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce in the band Cream. Their biggest hits were "Sunshine of your Love" and "White Room". Their music is best when not straight or sober. They didn't make a lot of music but what they made was damn good.

btw - never a google image search for Cream with the Safe Search function off if you are at work ;-)

CSNY

Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

Easy listening? maybe. Rock? of course. They were formed from members of the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and the Hollies and together made some of the best music of the 60s and 70s. They rocked Woodstock and became one of the most influential bands ever. Neil Young is still rockin and is one of the best song writers of all time.

My vote goes to Neil Young. If that means voting for CSNY, then so be it.

Ha, that's my favourite song of theirs. I wasn't sure who to vote for but I DL'd some big songs of each band and didn't see anything I especially liked until White Room. That sealed the deal for me in voting for Cream.

It gets old really quick...the words to that song are so stupid. Alot of songs have stupid words, but for some reason they just stand out more in that song for me. I dont like alot of the most famous songs by bands. I dont like Free Bird either, but the rest of Lynnard is fine by my.
