DON"T READ AHEAD IF YOU WANT TO TRY YOUR OWN STRATEGY:
I don't claim to have the best strategy, and I don't claim to be an expert of any sort. But if I found a new game, I'd want to try to mess around by myself first...
It took me just under an hour, 58mins or something like that. I guess some basic strategies are to try to leave as many different tiles open, and not double up on similar tiles open. The more prominent strategy I use is to line up alternative lines. That way you can eliminate them systematically.

Yeah I did that too... have a couple vertical lines, and a couple horizontal lines, and have them far enough apart so they won't interfere. Discarding is very useful, and shouldn't be a last resort like I used to have it as. If you discard when you have one taht'll screw up the palce, it shousln't get to a point wher ein an emergency you don't have spots available. Stupid mistakes led to an early exit right after I got to the 4th board this time. Only 3528 total still. I don't know if I could spend 2 hours playing a game like that though
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
