Nomar's value dropped because of injuries. The speculation all offseason was that he was going to take a one year deal to reaffirm himself as a superstar, then get big money. I bet he excells in Chicago and does just that.

Sorry if this was obvious....it's still awfully early in the morning. But I may target Nomar next year because of this deal.

Its actually more like near $11 million. He has several performance bonuses, some as simple as recording 550 or so at-bats. Still a good signing I'd say
