Nomar's value dropped because of injuries. The speculation all offseason was that he was going to take a one year deal to reaffirm himself as a superstar, then get big money. I bet he excells in Chicago and does just that. ;-D


Sorry if this was obvious....it's still awfully early in the morning. But I may target Nomar next year because of this deal.

Its actually more like near $11 million. He has several performance bonuses, some as simple as recording 550 or so at-bats. Still a good signing I'd say

no matter how u look at it, he will never get a better offer than the 4 yr -- $60m that the bosox proposed last spring..he will be lucky to get the 4 yr -- $52m that the sox offered later...p.s in her farewell game last night, mia hamm played the 2nd half w/garciaparra on her back
