weird..or is it?

I'm in a 12 team league. Someone dropped Armando Benitez and Braden Looper to waivers. I had 12th priority and was able to pick up Benitez. Does that seem odd that
a) Benitez was dropped in the first place
b) that i was able to get him with last priority or
c) that someone used their waiver priority to grab Looper over Benitez.....

Not as wierd as someone putting Piazza on the Waiver in my league...YOINK!

a) Probably depends on the team in question. I can see a stacked team dropping Benitez in order to pick up someone they simply couldn't pass up, especially if benches are small. There should still be a place for Benitez in a 12-team league, though, especially if it's roto.

b) That's a bit odd; all the bad press Benitez is getting is probably to blame.

c) Tough call. Benitez and Looper probably aren't that far apart at the moment.
