Usually this time of year I am getting my fantasy football teams ready for the playoffs, but I find myself already looking forward to the new baseball season which seems too far away. The sad thing is I'm doing well in my football leagues. I used to be a die hard fantasy football fan, but the fantasy baseball bug bit me 2 years ago and I have now crossed over.
Anybody have any advise to pass the time waiting for the season?
What are the mock drafts like here? Are they organized and done in one sitting, or are there some that are ongoing for days or weeks?
We are having a historical fantasy baseball draft right now! If you'd like to join check it out. We need one more manager. We are drafting players throughout baseball history and playing games using a baseball simulator. There will be a postseason and a World Series.

I was just talking about this with my buddy today!! He is a football
guy whereas I just play FF as a poor substitute to FB, These days there isn't really that much of an off-season for baseball.. for us hard-core junkies we are only a couple of weeks from the winter meetings when most of the off-season moves start happening.. the meetings start up the trades which are then followed by January with a lot of the FA signings which dovetails nicely with the start of spring training in Feb and the start of signups for FBB leagues... As a football fan he follows the Dolphins.. whose season ended before it even started with most of their quality players either leaving or getting injured in pre-season... that my friend is a long wait when you're counting the days until the next season before this season even started!

Hey, look at the bright side. within a month or two websites will start selling tickets for spring training games.

Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I have my Red Sox ST tix already!
Twins are next for me.
Spring is right around the corner. Watching the signings and trades and figuring out sleepers will dovetail into draft prep, drafts, then opening day before we know it.

I feel the same way! I'll be doing some mock drafts after football is over and i'd join one earlier if anyone is interested. I also start tweaking my draft software and player rankings/projections around this time of the year to pass the time.
And don't forget about the Cafe! It's hear year round!
