Damnit! This is my job! j/k
if there are, then some are pretty bad. i'd thjink it would make more sense to go for 15-20. Even this many might be tough
Well, there are 30 teams, so there should be 30 closers. We should rank the ones we dont know yet together, unless they quality of the pitchers is much different.
Dotel looks to be the closer sleeper of the year. And Kolb lower than Chad Cordero The mock drafts will be good to get an idea of these kinds of trends. Is Kolb still going unnoticed like that?
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
After watching Nathan clean up last year, how can you not have him in the top class? He is N-A-S-T-Y, and if he pitched in a major city, he's be securing huge endorsement deals right now instead of being listed in the 2nd class of closer. Also, if you ask anybody in NY if they would want Benitez as their closer, they'd have a different story to tell you. Here is my list:
Rivera
Gagne
Nathan
Lidge
Foulke
F-Rod - with a bullet!!!
Isringhausen
Cordero
Hoffman\
Wagner / Both these guys are huge injury risks!
Dotel
Baez
Percival - even with a bad hip, good for one more season
Chad Cordero
Affeldt
Mesa
Kolb
Graves
Looper

The last I saw was on RotoWorld, but he did it in August.
I'll add to the lists here that, with Benetiz gone, Mota is the likely closer in Florida. I'd say a mid-level closer on the Dotel level.
Right now, there are a lot of questions marks, which makes this a tough question to answer. Will Smoltz hit the rotation? Is Mota the man in Fla? Will the Cubs stick with Hawkins or Wash with Cordero? Is there anyone in Col or Ari? And that's just the NL.
I won't start making a list yet as I want to see how free agency pans out. If the Braves let Wright, Ortiz and Byrd go and Smoltz renegotiates his contract to remove the $100k/start provision, they'll be a question mark as well. Plus, if Detroit trades Urbina and Hermanson signs with a team having an opening, those are two more likely closers.
