he hasnt been traded to the mets just yet. still a lot of hoops to jump through before that happens.

like most of the others i think he can still jack 35+ homers. maybe all the bad pub about him will inspire some changes. he could be a little more effective standing closer to the plate. i wouldnt count on it though.

Today's Newsday (a NY paper) was reporting that the Giambi situation has made the Mets think again about Sosa. The parallels are eerie. Both have had drastically declining seasons in productivity, both have had very weird health issues, and both showed up to camp last spring much skinnier. :-?

There's little doubt in my mind that Sosa was on 'roids. In fact, I also strongly believe Mac was, and that Maris is the rightful owner of the single-season homerun record.

BTW- Sosa is on My do not draft list. Yes he could hit 30 HR, but he will kil your BA. I could find someone on the WW that will do better than Sammy. Hes done.

The only way Sosa is attractive next year is if the Cubs swing a trade with Colorado.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
