i'm a little confused by the Mariners rotation.. they all have good track records, but have question marks. they almost all look even to me. how would you rank them for an 05 draft sheet?
Moyer
Pineiro
Franklin
Madritsch
Meche
and which is most likely to lose his job to blackley, nageotte, and/or felix hernandez?
Piniero (provided he's healthy)
Meche (came on good last year at the end. Injury risk though)
Moyer
Franklin (should improve a little bit)
Madritsch (league will batter him next time around)

I like your ranking.
The M's are rumored to be interested in Wright. He might bump Madritsch out of the rotation.

I believe he is supposed to be out at least until july/august. Also, he perfers the bullpen so its likely the M's would leave him there for this year when he returns.

Wow, I didn't think he'd be out that long....I thought that he was originally hurt last April or May, but it must have been later than that. Thanks for the info.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
They are all about the same now (since Moyer hit the wall as he has had a solid career)....and they all basically blow now. Pineiro has never impressed me that much.
I've never understood all the hype around Pineiro. He had a good 2002 but other than that he's been mediocre. He gives up a lot of HR's and his K/BB isn't anything special. I think he gets more credit than he should for his 2002 season which I don't think he'll repeat.
