Here's a dusty little corner of baseball I haven't seen before: 9 strikes on 9 pitches, side retired club. It's only happened 39 times but 3 times it happened last season (note: all in the National League)!

Fast Facts:
When Nolan Ryan retired the side on nine (9) pitches / nine (9) strikes with the California Angels he became the first and only player to accomplish this unique feat once during both the American (1972) & National League (1968).

Did you know that the only three (3) pitchers in Major League history to accomplish this feat twice happen to be members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame?
