I said "return to form," but thats mostly relative to last year. I dont think he will ever match his MVP numbers again, but I do think that he will put up better numbers next year. I wont take the risk until late in a draft, but I do think there is some value in him.

I'm with BN on this one. No way he ever returns to MVP type numbers, but I don't think he repeats last year either. He may not be on the juice anymore ;-7, but he has to get good run and RBI totals with that lineup around him.

I will avoid him and let him be someone elses problem until he proves he can come back and produce. Not that he can't but I won't waist a high draft pick on him but I'd probably take a flier on him in the later rounds.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

If he's healthy, he'll be good, although not like in his prime IMO. And being healthy is a HUGE if with Giambi. Something will go wrong with him.

I agree with this.....I still think that he will be able to hit for power, if he can stay healthy. However, like Amazinz said, he isn't worth the headaches, unless he is still available in the later rounds.

Yup his sentiments were about perfect. There are just too many better, less risky options.

Gotta agree. I thought he would return to form last year. Good thing I let someone else have him.

I agree. I dont ever see him getting back to the way he was but if healthy he should put up decent numbers.
