You think that's bad? Try having had Riske AND Herges on your team last year. Between those two and Contreras, I consider it a stunning achievement that I was able to claw my way to 2nd place by the end of the season.

Jose Jimenez in 2003.
The SF and Cleveland merry-go-rounds plus Frasor to back up Foulke last year.
I think I'm a pretty good guide as to which closers wil tank.

Me, too. I had Benitez and F. Cordero. Nice, right?? Well, add Frasor, Riske, Koch, C. Cordero, Field, and Rhodes.
I hate Julio, I picked him up as a FA and all he did was help kill my ERA without ever getting me any saves. If Ryan closes, than I would be afraid to draft him that high. Good set-up men do not always equal good closers.
BTW- I also had Riske and Herges on my team this past season

Julio has electric stuff but NO IDEA how to use it. As an O's fan I have to believe that he is never going to figure it out. They have been beating the same things in his head for 2 years now and he still doesn't do any of it. "Work quickly, throw strikes & change speeds"
Any chance Baltimore could try to trade for Urbina? They could gamble a prospect or two that he will be back for ST. He has a nice price for a solid closer.
