I've been away for a week so forgive me if this topic wasn't touched upon due to the recent trade, but what do you guys think of him as a fantasy catcher this season. Some say he can hit at a major leauge level. but what do you guys thinK? any premature projections?

I think he can have value, but the question is will he be starting 50% of the time or 75% or the time? I am suspecting that this is one of those things that won't become clear until late March.

too early too tell imo as right now i have been hearing that he will platooning at the C position....as stumpak wrote it will probably be late march before we know for sure.....

The general consensus right now seems to be that the Pirates will trade for a catcher (Rhodes for Charles Johnson?) and send House back to Nashville. He was granted an extra option by MLB. I wouldn't plan on him much this year.

I really can't see anyone currently in the mix who will play the majority of the time.

Agreed, if you're drafting early or looking at keeper trades, don't get your hopes for House up too high. there's potential there, and this situation is worth keeping an eye on, but that's about it at this point.
