The M's have some decent young talent, and these guys would make pretty good additions, IMO, but they cost too much. The M's aren't going to be a winning for a few years, so I'd actually pass on anyone but Glaus, as that's what Seattle needs badly.
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

The Mets have (edit: reportedly) matched Arizona's offer (3yr/10M) to Sexson. Arizona's contract had injury stipulations in it and speculation is that Minaya guaranteed the entire contract.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Oh, yay, I wonder how many of my hitters will have been rumored to go to that singularity by the time the offseason is over.
I don't know but Sexson shouldn't be a surprise. If the Mets make any splash in the FA market it will be at 1B. That's part of the reason I think it's unrealistic that the Mariners could sign Delgado and Sexson.
Also, I don't think Sexson would have trouble at Shea. Hitters with warning track power struggle at Shea. Sexson could hit homers anywhere.

Yeah, Sexson has big-time pop, that's for sure. It's just something else about that place that ruins hitters for life. I'm not sure what it is...very elusive, it is.
