1. roto???

Yes sir

2. p = sp/rp... doesn't matter

right

3. 10 farm league slots - meaning 10 minor leaguers - what determines eligibility - what would salary be if called up?

I think it's nice to give minor leaguers a $1 salary -- if you're going to invest all this time in "scouting," might as well maximize the rewards. As for eligibility to be drafted and to remain in minors, maybe no more than 50 IP and 130AB in the MLB? That way cameo callups wouldn't plunder the farm ...

4. keeper???

Yeah, maybe maximum of 8, either on options or long-term contracts (4 years max) requiring $5 escalators per year, except that first year=base year+1

what site???

I'm agnostic -- whatever works -- custom yahoo or cbs maybe? I really like that IP-RA pitching category as an improvement over the good old era, but not sure what sites might allow that...

P.S. assuming this goes anywhere, would you want some sort of short screening process, or are december signups a good enough filter?

100$ is way too much for me. I am already in a couple expensive leagues and I don't feel like spending that much for an online league. If it was for a live draft with guys I knew it would be one thing. If anyone wants to do a $25-$30 or even a free league, I am interested. Elf drop me a line if this sounds more your style. Joe

I'm pretty lacking in monetary funds at this point, so I was looking more for a free league myself. Sorry guys.

I also wouldn't mind an auction league, but I'd be inclined towards a cheaper entry league...traditional 5X5...

Count me in as well

Don't know if you fellas are still looking for someone to join, but if so, count me in.

Would prefer smaller entry fee, but whatever works.

I'd be willing to head a live auction draft...held in either the Cafe chatroom if Arlo allows us, or in an AIM private chatroom, if that's okay with you? We can use the "offline" draft choice for Yahoo and I could just input the selections manually. The order in which the players will taken as shown on the "draft results" will basically not matter...just which players go to which teams.

However, I may not be able to do anything too complicated, like salary caps, or whatever...because I don't have enough time to do that.

If y'all want a small entry fee, that could provide some incentive. I was thinking maybe $10-$20, if y'all want to keep the monetary amount low. 12 man league...redraft or keeper, depending on what you prefer. Since a lot of us are first time auction drafters, I would be inclined towards a redraft league so we can "test the waters" first and then if we all like it, we can proceed towards a keeper draft next season.

Why doesn't everybody who's interested send me a PM or email (mailto:warrick95@hotmail.com) and we'll see if we can get a league going. ;-D
