Who was the best fantasy baseball prognosticator in 2004? I’m looking to compile a listing of projections from the major Fantasy Baseball projection sites. If you have a set of projections from the preseason of 2004 from one of these sites please pass it along. I am very interested in forecasting from the likes of BaseballHQ, Fantistics (I already have), RotoWire, Roto Times, Baseball Notebook, RotoWorld, TSN (I already have). To do this right, I will need at least stat projections for at least each of the 5 major categories (5x5) for hitters and pitchers.
I will post a link for all to see once I gather up the data.
RotoTimes 2004 projections are still available on their site.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I think I may have most of those sites compiled already Colt 45. I compile and continually update an 'average projections' spreadsheetsheet each spring that usually includes well over a dozen sources, many of which you mentioned. Some of the sources I use are paysites so for propriety reasons I don't post individual site projections here. I do however often post the average of all the sources when members ask to compare various players. What I hoped to do last spring, but never recieved permission or instruction from the mods, was to somehow post the resultant average projection results, as a resource for all the cafe members.
As some of us talked about in another thread, this would be very useful to do on an annual basis. I'm willing to do some analysis if a clean data set is created.
Thanks GotowarMissAgnes...this is in essence what I'm looking to do with all the public forecasters. If anyone has a set of projections from the 2004 preseason from the aforementioned services...please pass it along.
