The challenge

I have been playing since 1995 and have yet to win a championship.

The camraderie

A unique way to meet a totally new group of people. It is hard to find people that follow the sport as closely as I do. It's embarrassing sometimes when people realize that I know the starting nine of all 30 clubs.

LOVE the live auctions. Greatest thing they ever invented. I agree, The best day of the year. Just the idea that they made me a game that i can play 6 months of the year that involves my favorite sport, baseball. And the best thing is that i could do it all year. I do for the most part. This site was one of the best things that has happened to me since it ended. Thank you Cafe!!!

Yeah it's weird to think most of us know every starter for every team in baseball :-o

I was wearing a Padres hat and my friend, who I thought knew baseball pretty well, said he didn't even know a single Padre. I thought he was kidding. I named off the starting 9 and the rotation without hesitation. Maybe I spend too much time with baseball :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Perhaps being totally involved with my favorite sport, and making money off of it. ;-D

I like fantasy baseball because it keeps me up to date with what's going on in MLB. there isn't cable available where i go to school (well, i guess i could move off campus...), so i don't really get to watch too much. but playing fantasy baseball lets me keep up to date with everything.

oh, that and i'm a competitive guy, and it's fun playing against all of my friends from home. }:-)
