Look at Lehr's AAA #'s, he's pretty good and was groomed to be a closer, but now we got Hudson Streets (SP?) to be the future in the pen
Hmmm, maybe I should've bid $1 on Lehr instead of Rincon.
Maybe it's just me but this seems like an odd fit. PIT was wanting to deal him because of his huge contract I thought, and dumping him in Oakland just seems odd. Maybe not.

Hell, I was surprised Kendall got the chance to steal any the last couple of seasons with Pittsburgh. He's been downright awful at stealing bases since the injury. One reason I stayed away from him recently, I figured the Pirates would figure that out.
I am a big Kendall supporter. That biend said bieng an Oakland fan I do NOT want this deal done because of money purposes. Unless the Pirates pick up a ton of his salary. As far as I remmember Beane will be overpaying as it is and he needs that money for the big three. My guess is that (very very sadly) Zito is gone if he doesn't pick it up this season, but Hudson and Mulder both need to be resigned. For that to be done he needs to play cheap guys at the positions which he has been doing (excluding Chavez) for the most part, this is just throwing off the gameplan.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

I completely agree. That's why I'm thinking this deal does not go through, or if it does another team will be involved that's willing to take on Kendall's salary. The only team's who would pick up someone making that kind of money already have their guy for the next few years.
