I dont know if I would call them flukes exactly. I would prefer to call a spade a spade and say he posted those kind of numbers because he was juiced up. Its a shame for Bret that MLB is cracking down on that sort of thing. ;-7

Most of fantasy baseball is on offense and Walker is an offensive oreiented player (he's never done that hot at 2nd) so I think most of you are undervaluing him.

I think he deserves the starting nod whereever he ends up.

I'd like to hear the group's thoughts on Casey Blake and where he'd fit in as a 2b. If the Tribe doesn't keep Belliard, I would think Blake would get the majority of the PT, right (as opposed to Phillips)?

If Blake plays 2B, he'd be ranked near the top of my list. I have him at:

.281, 26 HR, 96 R, 93 RBI. That's for 150 GP. That's pretty good for a relatively unknown player.

I've got him projected for 87/27/89/.276 which would put him just in the top 10 or so for 5x5. I'm not sure how accurate those projections are -- looking back they may be a little high.

Walker is a free agent. I would wait until he signs before giving him the starting job.

They declined Grudzielanek's option, so I am pretty sure they are going to try and sign him. If they dont then I have him ranked to high probably.

The Cubs are probably going to sign Womack. Walker could end up as the DH in Texas which is obviously a good thing for his fantasy value as long as he plays everyday. This will be his 6th team in the past 5 years so he can't be that good... but again, it could be his defense that makes him undesirable to everybody, which is a good reason for Texas to DH him. They'd probably be better off DHing Soriano and putting Walker at 2B though.

I highly doubt Todd Walker is going to be a full time DH on any team....especially not a team as loaded with talent as the Rangers.
