I'm sure you guys around STL have heard of this, but it seems to me that they could have figured this out before they started? :-?

Cards get called on stadium fire safety

Wow!

I hadn't heard this. Here's part that bothers me the most:

Umm... yeah. So a truck itself may not be able to penetrate the stadium, but how about a truck full of explosives followed by another truck full of explosives through the new hole.

I hadn't even thought of how close this stadium will be to the highway, but man, if that doesn't scream "Attack me!!!" I don't know what does.

I have heard it before but I thought it was more like 15 ft. instead of the 40 ft. stated in the article. Whatever it is it is close. And JT I wouldn't worry about a truckfull of explosives anymore than before. Spruce Street and 7th Street run right next to the stadium now.

The guy in the Cards organization who is in charge of the new stadium sat at my table for a wedding this year. He went on and on about how great the new stadium is going to be. He bored everybody but me to tears.

Sounds like its going to be state of the art - and I wouldn't worry about it being right off of the highway, so are Tropicana Field and Skydome - but then again would anybody notice if somebody blew up the Devil Rays or Jays?
