Any word on how he's doing? Gammons said he'd be back in three weeks, but other writers have said he could be in trouble...

I put a waiver claim in for him. Should I cancel it?

Speaking on behalf of the "Godless Cardinal fans" and an Izzy owner, he was supposed to be back at the end of the month but his shoulder is still hurting him. Here is the lastest on him

"Isringhausen has asked to get a second opinion on his mending right shoulder and will be examined by former Mets team physician Dr. Dave Altchek on Monday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports."

It's getting a bit scary. This is sounding more and more like this is going to be a Hoffman/Nen going to need another surgery situation.

The Cards have posted the results from the second opinion on their site. They say he just needs to rest and that once the inflamation goes away, it shouldn't come back. Sounds like he's worth keeping if you can wait another 3-6 weeks.
