My AL Only team suffered a power outage last season. I picked up Calvin Pickering and Buddy Jacobsen, two 1b who, when they played, seem to hit big. Their HR per AB ranks 21 and 22 among players with more 100 or more ABs. Does anyone think they are worth holding onto? Will they get regular playing time or still be part time sluggers? As a catcher, Doug Mirabelli falls into the same trap behind Varitek.

Pickering's better than Jacobson, but both could come up short in playing time. You might get lucky, but you'll probably have to do better thgan those two.
