Thoughts?

Im in a 15 team yahoo standard roto where we can keep 5+1 players (the +1 is someone picked up off the wire during the year) and 3 minor league players.

My 6 so far are:

Aram, V. Martinez, A. Soriano, Mulder, Peavy and Itzuris (got him as my 6th... scored 90 runs and 25 stolen bases)

For my minor leaguers I am keeping Joey Gathwrite (picked him up in the trade I got Martinez for last year)

Franceour -- Atl

Gavin Floyd (traded my 10th round pick for him this upcomming season)

What ya think?

Not know what else you have on your team your major league keepers seem pretty good to me for a 15 team league. I like those minor leaguers too. Floyd and Franceour are supposed to be the real deal I think.

Lets see my team before trades consisted of:
Prior
Mora
Reyes
(traded the above for Soriano and Mulder)

Loretta, who put up excellent stats 340 avg and 16 or do HRs
Bobby Crosby
Wagner
Edmonds
Nevin
Greene (kahlil)
Sanders
a bunch of no names

Also I have Stauffer... minor league pitcher for San Diego in my Minors now, hopefully I can get him back in the draft again

Could you keep Crosby or Loretta over Itzuris?

I would love to have been able to do that, however as I had drafted Crosby and Loretta in the main draft, both of them would count towards the 5 reg keepers who are Mulder, Peavy, Aram, Soriano and Martinez.

Itzuris is the only real decent 6th that I have unless I can make a trade in the next couple of weeks.

I do have to say this however that I was killed for drafting Loretta in this forum and Im not so big as to not say... Told ya so!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks. I guess Izturis is a good option then if that's all you can keep. What do you think you could get in return for Izturis/Crosby deal maybe? What kind of player could you get that you would be able to keep as the sixth? If that makes any sense.

I think Bay would be a nice option. You never know til you try, but I doubt he'd give up Lidge. I wouldn't want to keep any of these "6th keeper" players over your others, so I'd say try everything you can to get the best player who qualifies for the 6th spot, even if that means giving up someone like Crosby/Loretta etc.

Looks good to me. As for the minors, don't expect Francoeur before 2006. As for Floyd, I'm not as high on him as some, but he's definitely got name recognition and, I hope for your sake, my gut instinct on him is wrong. I just worry about his control. I see a Kris Benson-type of guy - solid, but nothing great.
