Sucks for the guys who were gonna have Castilla platooning at 3B next season. :-o

Does anyone know the chances of Miggy Cab being the Marlins starting 3b next season?

Any idea whether the Washington Stadium will be a pitchers park or hitters park? Any thoughts or guesses?

No idea, to be honest. But I'd guess that while they are in RFK it'll be a pitchers park, as it'll be a converted football field.

Anyway, anyone think these are odd signings by Washington? Guzman is ok, but I'm not sure he's worth four years, despite his youth.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

This opens the door for another shortsop in Min. One who we just talked about. Now what do you think of him, Jason Bartlett?

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Interesting moves. Both were signed for reasonable prices. Solid move for a team with a restricted budget.

I really like those signings. Castilla for $3 million a year really surprises me. Obviously Castilla is even admitting the Coors factor was the reason for his monster season.

i think they were terrible moves. two years is too long for castilla. guzman might end up earning his contract but he definitely wasnt worth losing a draft pick for. actually i think they are losing picks for both signings. mlb still hasnt sold the team and i would think it would be more attractive to a prospective buyer without a long-term contract to christian guzman.
