I wouldn't actively root for him. Same thing with Loaiza this year. I didn't mind when he performed in the playoffs because it helped the team, but I would never have rooted for him, especially in the regular season.

This Pedro is injured thing has really taken off. Let me guess--you're not concerned about RJ's knees?

Havin Pedro on the Yankees would be very interesting, especially considering his relationship with Jorge Posada. But if he is on the Yankees, he can expect 3 things:

1) He's got to shave his goatee
2) He's got to shave that smirk off his face
3) He won't get any special treatment (A la Red Sox)

Pedro was so spoiled with the Red Sox, thinking he'll get that same treatment anywhere else is naive. Ideally for Pedro, he should stay with the Sox. He'll be happiest there (and also Yankees fans won't have to stop chanting "Who's your daddy" making everyone happy), but Pedro is a strange person, so, as long as the Yankees put a mango tree in Monument Park, he quite possibly could sign in NY.

All I can say is that we're gonna need some long middle relief if anything comes of this.
