It's possible...
I'm surprised I haven't seen a topic on this yet. On the 13th Rotoworld reported that the Marlins likely won't be stepping up to Benitez' new price tag and that barring a cheap solution falling in their lap, Mota will go into the 2005 season as closer.

I think half the reason Florida traded for Mota last year was with the idea he could be their 2004 closer b/c they knew they would not be resigning benitez

If Mota closes than I wont put him in my top 10. To me this seems to be another Dotel in the making. Good setup men do not mean good closers.
