They aren't?
Vlad: .337-39-126 with 124 runs and 15 steals.
Manny: .308-43-130 with 108 runs and 2 steals.
Hmm.....
I went with Vlad.
Manny's OPS: 1.009 Vlad's OPS: 0.989
There's more than just BA and RBI/R. OPS tells a much more accurate story. The big BA lead Vlad has isn't as important considering Manny has a better OBA and SLG.
I'm not saying Manny should win.... but the numbers are pretty close between them. Vlad will probably take it considering that the Boston votes will be split. And Manny's defense leaves much to be desired (although to his defense, he has to contend with the green monster).
I happen to agree. I just tossed the basics out there to show that Vlad does indeed have the numbers to make it interesting.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
Hafner had an awesome year, but he had the same problem as Jake Peavy: he missed too much time. He definately wasn't noticed this year though, like he should have been.
And protection isn't a myth. I'm pretty sure that I debunked the protection myth since the study that "proved" it to be a myth wasn't accurate. I think it was Tribe-Fan who brought it up about a month ago.

Manny and Vlad are a toss up. I went Manny, but Sheffield has a case too with his WS. Any of the 3. Miggy made a few too many outs for me (RC/27), but his glove gave him the WS back.
MOOKIE, how are you, long time no see. Baltimore actually outscored Anaheim, and nearly beat Texas.
LBJ how was protection debunked?
