What the Cafe' Should do this Offseason

Postby DK » Sun Nov 14, 2004 9:20 pm

1. Re-sign Madison to the maximum contract. You can't let him get away.

2. Trade Rico the Retard for an undisclosed amount of posts.

3. If nobody wants Rico, put him in his own forum where he can reply to himself only. It's like putting a monkey in his cage.

4. Get rid of all evidence suggesting the Politics forum ever existed.

5. Extra Innings...

6. Get DHC off the Disabled List.

7. Relegate all posters to sign a contract stating that the Mets are, in fact, the best team in all of baseball (and certainly better than the Padres).

8. Block DK from ever posting again. That guy never knows what he's talking about.

9. While we're at it, make ZIG's predictions about Santana and LBJackal's posts about Loaiza a Global announcement. So they never forget it.

10. Remind me never to do this again.

Lol. On a serious note though, how about a top prospect list? Last year the Cafe did the Overall Player Rankings List. Maybe this year we should do our own top prospect list.

What qualifies as a prospect? Less than 1,000 posts? Under two months' service?

What would that make me? A veteran?

I suddenly feel old.

1. Re-sign Madison to the maximum contract. You can't let him get away.

There's still some worry about that typer's elbow. I think we should look into an incentive-based contract as a safeguard.

2. Trade Rico the Retard for an undisclosed amount of posts.

3. If nobody wants Rico, put him in his own forum where he can reply to himself only. It's like putting a monkey in his cage.

Perhaps we should try sticking him out on irrevocable waivers. Maybe the Mets will take him.

4. Get rid of all evidence suggesting the Politics forum ever existed.

Politics forum? What politics forum ...

5. Extra Innings...

No idea what this means but I like it anyway.

6. Get DHC off the Disabled List.

Word is he's healing up nicely from surgery. His wrist is stronger than ever and initial reports indicate his WPM is up about 5.

7. Relegate all posters to sign a contract stating that the Mets are, in fact, the best team in all of baseball (and certainly better than the Padres).

Wv's lawyers will be contacting you shortly...

8. Block DK from ever posting again. That guy never knows what he's talking about.

The Disco King has immunity. I'm pretty sure it's in his contract.

9. While we're at it, make ZIG's predictions about Santana and LBJackal's posts about Loaiza a Global announcement. So they never forget it.

ESPN just announced that Zig and Jackal have been hired as their new baseball forecasters; sort of like the Hector and Victor of baseball.

10. Remind me never to do this again.

I would but I think I've already forgotten.

OK, too many beers and a Giants' loss has knocked me silly... :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

roflmao .... ;-D
good one ..

another good idea would be to package in a certain "Mets fan" with Rico and get ourselves some new shoelaces. Think about it. We are going to need two new shoelaces sooner or later right? We can just stash them in the top drawer, and then dust them off once we need them. Might as well stock up cheaply. Now, no way Rico would catch us both shoelaces, one maybe, but certainly not both. So we can just toss a certain "Mets fan" in, kinda of like the player to be named later. That should do the trick :-°
