Be that as it may, I don't know anything about Jason Stokes. If that guy is considered a top prospect I could see Zona doing the deal. If not, going east makes more sense. Vazquez (despite his late-season implosion) has a lot of good years pitching left in him and the Unit has already said he'd like to be in NY.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Just imagine if you had said, "Big Unit in a 3 way".
lol. i think that was his intention, i mean, ensanimal's intention...
but yeah, if RJ ends up on ANA it's gonna be tough to stop them. next step is just realize that erstad shouldn't be their 1B and they will win the WS. if ANA gets RJ, which won't be for sele, i'll just keep hating the angels even more.
hey, did anybody hear that moreno wanted to change the name of the team to los angeles angels and selig gave him permisson for that? i'll look for a thread about it....

I was thinking the same thing. I was expecting to also see Mr. and Mrs. Benson in this thread.
Well, if anyone wants to post pics of Mrs. Benson in this thread, I won't complain.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
What we were told out here in DBack territory (last summer) was that Anahiem was one of the locales Randy would consider waiving his no trade claus for. They say he'd much rather live in So Cal than in AZ. The reason he balked and made it exclusively NY at the deadline had to do with NY being all but guaranteed a playoff berth. At the time, ANA OAK and TEX were in a dogfight and Randy didn't want to risk waiving his clause only to end up missing the post season.
p.s. the risk of missing the playoffs was also the reason Unit nixed Boston's atempt last summer...not some imagined petty personality conflict with Schill that was tossed around in this forum.
The Big Unit managed to piss of a legion of Red Sox fans and
Yankee haters with that weak comment. Until now I had forgotten how sweet vindication is--the Sox win the Series--no Unit necessary.
Bite it Randy. Go to New York and give Steinbrenner and Cashman backrubs--in a 3 way.
