I have proven my points numerous times in regards to the Giants organization, Hermanson, the bullpen, Cruz, and the need to upgrade SS defensively. Points you fail to seem to comprehend. The simple fact is that I follow this club, while you do not.

I’ve gotten my information from watching him play last season, and talking with unbiased fans who agree with me that he is still above average defensively. I believe he is still above average defensively.

And I was merely pointing out that you contradicted yourself, I wasn’t sure if that arrogant attitude of yours would be able to handle it :-)

Nice of you to edit that "bravo" comment.

And yes, we are a rare breed these days ;-)

Well taht wasn't much of a contradiction... not one at all, really.

And I took out bravo and added in a bit more, because I didn't want it to come across as being too rude for the occasion. I may disagree with mostly everything you said (which didn't have evidence..... but anyways) but I don't wanna burn bridges.

I've been wrong lots of times :-D

But when people think all these once-great defensive players are still great, it gets to me. They're clearly not the players they were... they're living off of a reputation that in many cases should have ended years ago. Vizquel, Andruw, Edmonds, and the list goes on. Those are the main ones that have been talked about. Then Bret Boone wins a Gold Glove... you gotta be kidding me!

This is Hooties fault I bet.

The difference being, at least Hootie can admit when he is wrong .."

You bastard }:-) ... :-D

D. Cruz is not a bad player, and his and O. Vizquels fielding percentage looked very similar in '04 (.980 for Cruz, .982 for Vizquel) however...

I know I am going to get blasted by some "new wave stat-heads" but I still believe in # of errors when judging a player defensive capability, mostly because it is judged by a human being with their own eyes.

In Cruz's career he has 105 errors in 3,461 chances.

In Omar's career? How about 160 errors in 6,737 chances.

Thats 1 error every 33 chances for Deivi

And 1 error every 42 chances for Omar

And saying that he is even close offensively is a joke...

Career OBP:

Vizquel: .341

Cruz: .293

Career K/BB:

Vizquel: 794 K/ 785 BB

Cruz: 395 K/ 121 BB

Having Vizquel is going to help this team in the line-up and on the field. Is it the best signing in the world? No, of course not. But if you think Snow is going to post anywhere near the #'s he did in '04, you are on drugs.

Snow's offensive #'s:

OPB:
Last year: .429, Career: .358

BA:
Last year: .327, Career: .267

I dont think anyone trusted Snow to be the #2 hitter in '05, he just is'nt that kind of hitter, Vizquel is.
