Would like to see how many wins people think Brandon Webb will get next year. I'm thinking 12 wins with a 3.35 ERA.

He will be lucky to get 10 with that team. 4.0+ ERA...walks too many and his ERA in 2004 was very fortunate.

Webb walked 5.2/9IP last season. Looking at his minor league numbers I would expect him to settle back around 3 to 3.5 BB/9IP. I would also expect a drop in walks to offset any change in luck he may have.
Unfortunately Arizona is terrible. 3.50 ERA, 11 wins.
25 year-olds that strike out 7+/9IP are normally hard to acquire in keeper leagues. Especially when they post a 3.24 ERA in their first 63 starts. I think now is the time to buy low.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Just traded Morgan Ensberg and Nick Johnson for Ramon Hernandez and Webb in a 14-team keeper league. I couldn't be happier.

Maybe they can move Johnson for some offense. That would help Webb in the run support department. You would hope they would, because Johnson probably won't be around by the time the D'Backs work their way back into contention, and the older Johnson gets, the less they'll get in return.
