I have this little be with a friend about the Giants stadium not being in the top 5 hardest to hit homeruns out of.

Simple huh?, just need the homerun totals per stadium for the last 2 years...

But I have searched to the point that my fingers are bloody

I am going insane trying to find this

Help?!

thanks for the help so far

the problem is that the bet is about homeruns, not runs, and that is where it is giving me fits.

I am trying to find homeruns hit per stadium for the year

SBC Park was rated 22nd lowest out of 30 by ESPN's HR Factor stat for 2004. So a pretty tough stadium to hit HRs but not in the top 5 hardest this year. Not sure about 2003.

Top 5 hardest for 2004 were:
26 Shea
27 Busch
28 Jacobs
29 Kauffman
30 PETCO

Don't have the 04 numbers, but i can give you a 2 year index (02-03).

Only 221 hrs were in in SF park in that 2 year span, making it bb toughest hr park, using the hr index. Just a note. You don't want to use just a park's hr totals, since their lineup and staff will influence those number's. You want to use the home parks home/opponent split, versus the road parks home/opponents split. Here is SF hr index, (abs used), by this easy calculation.

221 hrs in in SF
332 hrs hit in SF road games

SF hr index is 66, with 100 being neutral. Means for every 100 hrs hit by league average, only 66 are hit in SF. Park indexes can be found at Baseball-Reference.com (run index only), Stats Scouting Notebook, and Bill James Handbook.

like I said, its driving me friggin nuts!

I have performed countless searches with variations in search parameters, and just can't get to it.....

I know I am right too, I just need something to back it up, or its gonna be a push..
