I guess so. You don't exactly see this in the news every day:
CNN wrote:MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- Police used a stun gun on a 6-year-old boy in his principal's office because he was wielding a piece of glass and threatening to hurt himself, officials said Thursday.
The boy, who was not identified, was shocked with 50,000 volts on October 20 at Kelsey Pharr Elementary School.
Principal Maria Mason called 911 after the child broke a picture frame in her office and waved a piece of glass, holding a security guard back.
When two Miami-Dade County police officers and a school officer arrived, the boy had already cut himself under his eye and on his hand.
The officers talked to the boy without success. When the boy cut his own leg, one officer shocked him with a Taser and another grabbed him to prevent him from falling, police said.
He was treated and taken to a hospital, where he was committed for psychiatric evaluation. You don't say?
"By using the Taser, we were able to stop the situation, stop him from hurting himself," police spokesman Juan DelCastillo told The Miami Herald.
Wow. What an odd situation.........I'm really not sure what I think. I understand what the cops were thinking, but wouldn't 50,000 volts possibly hurt a 6 year old? I guess not, but I don't know. Really weird situation there.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Well if they don't have anything else to use on him... it's a tough situation. Imagine what people would be saying about thsoe cops if the kid killed, or seriously injured himself.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
I go away to the restroom for a couple of minutes, and I come back to 14,829 "Reply to topic" e-mails in my Inbox. Of course, I immediately knew that Hurricane Madison had just ripped through the boards again.
I don't know what's more strange: the police actually needing to stun a kid or a six-year-old threatening to kill himself. Just imagine how it will be when he actually hits puberty.

I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the title of the thread, I figured that they did it to subdue him because of another situation. Under the circumstances, I can almost understand it.
